It's been a while since I blogged a wedding, the last few months have been crazy busy and I have weddings queued up, waiting patiently for a wee blog posting! To kick off the proceedings, here is a wedding shoot from April with lovely Lauren & Shaun at the glorious Culcreuch Castle in Fintry. Anyone looking for a stunning venue this has to be up there - check it out!
The setting for Donna & Joe's wedding was the beautiful Carnbooth House Hotel in Busby, near Glasgow. A stunning venue and gorgeous wedding made even more impressive by the fact that the couple live in Peterhead in the north of Scotland - quite a feat to organise such a day!! Donna & Joe were a pleasure to work with and hopefully I have captured some special memories of their fantastic day :
The stunning architecture in Glasgow never fails to impress, especially areas like Royal Exchange Square in the city centre. On a sunny it's beautiful but on a wedding day it's simply magical. The wedding of Lynne & Allan was such a day, even the sun came out for a while : ) Here are a few snaps from the day :
Returning to a familiar venue is always a nice feeling especially when the venue is The Ingliston Country Club, in Bishopton and coupled (excuse the pun) with a great couple Charlene & Chris this wedding was never going to be anything other than fun! Here are a few pics from the day hope you like them!
The beautiful autumn weather we experienced earlier this year seems like a distant memory. Now that we are in the depths of our traditional Scottish winter (rain, rain, wind and more rain), I thought I would share some beautiful weddings I photographed this autumn.
Hope you like them ; )
I always love photographing in and around the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond and the wedding of Kirsten & Max at the Cruin certainly didn't disappoint. The wedding was a cracker and hopefully the photographs do it justice. I even met up with an old college friend from my graphic design days who just happened to be the brides' brother and one of the groom's best men! Hope you like the pics : )
Duck Bay Marina on the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond is a place I know very well and never get tired of visiting. Having visited with some regularity as a child and young adult, I always really look forward to my next visit. So when Mary-Louise & Malcolm asked me to be their wedding photographer at Duck Bay I jumped at the chance relive old memories and make new ones for a special couple!
Hope you like the pics : )
I love travelling around Scotland, shooting weddings, and seeing so many beautiful places but every now then it's nice to shoot a local wedding, or relatively local wedding, in this case the beautiful Glenskirlie House Hotel, the venue for Lorraine & Chris' big day! Hope you like the pics : )
Most definitely not under par : )
I’m not really a big fan of golf, so much so that I used to be of the opinion that it was a good walk wasted, that was until my golf mad relatives nearly lynched me! so to shoot a wedding at a golf club was something of a new experience for me and a very pleasant one indeed. The golf club in question was the lovely Drumpellier Golf Club in Coatbridge for the superb wedding of Lorna & Gerard. Hope you like the pics and if you need to see more, please get in touch with the bride & groom for the password!
Scotland has a wealth of beautiful wedding venues and none more so than New Lanark Mill. With it's historical buildings, stunning scenery and fantastic facilities, its a dream place to shoot a wedding. With my client's Sarah & Mark and touch of much needed Scottish Sun added to the mix, the wedding was always going to be an unbridled success. Here are a selection of shots from the day :
