Hi I’m Brian and would like to welcome you to Doran Photography. Before I delve into the fun part of what I can offer you, I’ll tell you a little about my journey so far.
As a proud Glaswegian, I love to show off my home city in photos as much as possible and being based just outside the city centre helps me enormously to achieve this goal. Although I adore photography, my first love is my little family unit consisting of Pam (my wife), and children Sam, Eva & Suzy. I love spending my downtime with them and we are at our happiest when we are on the road to anywhere from the isle of Harris (camper vanning) or jet setting abroad to sunnier climbs, even have a New York trip planned for October this year! Aside from my family, I also enjoy snowboarding & music immensely and never pass up on some football chat (which I can talk a good game).
I always find it hard to accurately define my photography style and I’m happy to let others define it for me. My photography has evolved over the years and having shot well over 100 weddings, I feel very comfortable working in this field. Although I have experience in shooting weddings, I’m never complacent and I’m constantly learning new ideas and tricks to keep my style current. I’m also a trained Graphic Designer and use my creative skills to great effect when taking photos and designing albums.
Shooting a Wedding
If I had a pound for every couple who came to me and said they hate having their photos taken, I’d be a rich man! I think most people are in the same boat when it comes to having a photo taken, maybe that’s why I take photos : ) With this in mind, I"m always striving to change this mind-set and make the experience a fun part of an already exciting day. In order to get you ready for this, I include a pre wedding consultation at the venue in every package and also offer an engagement style portrait session, if you would like some practice! After all you only get one shot at shooting a wedding, so any prep is vital.
Feel free to browse the site and don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any queries, I love an enquiry!
